Types of Therapy

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

The CBT approach I use is considered a ‘third wave’ approach known as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
CBT is an empirically based therapy. The approach I make use of includes mindfulness and acceptance strategies,
as well as commitment and behaviour change plans in order to encourage psychological flexibility.
For more information on the approach feel free to consult this very useful website https://contextualscience.org/act

My therapeutic aim is to encourage clients to embrace a certain kind of flexibility,
in lieu of making action-based decisions that would support
their emotional wellbeing, and preferred habits and lifestyle.
