How I Work

My work with children includes individual sessions with the child, as well as family and parenting sessions. I believe one of the most effective ways to assist children with their challenges is to consult the important role-players in their lives. These role-players may include parents, siblings and school teachers.

Parenting sessions are aimed at helping parents to understand their child’s behaviour and difficulties, and to offer ways in which they can improve how they relate to their child. When parents are able to understand their child’s behaviour and challenges, they are better able to assist their child.

The number of parenting and child therapy sessions required depends on the extent and complexity of the challenges being faced.
